is the ceremonial wash done by a specific person? Or is it someone just close to the young man? Are the gyms opened to visitors?

All the Training gyms are open to all for visits and photos. The kids and management love visitors. I do all the ceremonial washes in Thailand ! No ..... Just kidding, the Boxer's trainer normally does it.

There's 100's of Training camps throughout the country, some have sights many do not. It is a third world country remember ... Sityodtong in Pattaya is pretty well known has younger fighters training there, has a sight. Petch roung ruang on Soi 50 in Pattaya has the most boys training and loves visitors. Most of the boys fight at Teparset Stadium in Pattaya for, at times, a lot of money and the people (Thai's) who go, also bet thousands. Fortunes have been made and lost there.
