Such is the explicit theme, but there’s another possible reading: inspired on a Hellenistic group, and in accordance with the classic tradition, which saw in satyrs and pans the figuration of unbridled sexuality that would not stop on gender limits, Noreña’s piece is loaded with homoerotic associations.
