This is a hat 'fashion' that NEVER WAS in the USA. It ended as a thing in detectives movies and private eyes tv series as, at the earliest, with 77 Sunset Strip (set in Miami Beach) and, later, Hawaii 5-0, both private eye series. :-)

I can say these hats are still sold and worn in the USA. I know three stores in my area that sell such. And with little feathers in the band, depending. OLDIES, to mee ONLY. Cute here as a new to him.

to genegena and andrei, fashion is like a "pendule" from a watch, it goes and come back after several years. In the good old days over here, wearing a had, was symbol for rich people, so I gues this young man must be joking with that ?? BTW, I guess everyone over here, f..ucks the had, but that young man would be more then welcome for a weekend, with or without his had, even more welcome without his cute briefs, guess he's hiding a nice and cute joystick in there !!
