WNBR takes place in 2 parts each year. March in the southern hemisphere. June in the northern. An exception this year was Seattle due to scheduling conflicts. Seattle held theirs in July. This year participation took place in over 70 countries. WNBR takes place to raise awareness of mankind's dependency on oil.
