Katie's Broken Toe. In order to try to figure out why Katie did so poorly at her gymnastics meet, she was given a private gymnastics session with Coach Mary. But in the process, Katie broke her big toe. In fact, she shattered it! She had to undergo surgery, and had to have a pin in her toe for several weeks. As a result of this injury, Katie couldn't do any gymnastics competition for the rest of the season.
